Consensus on the need to establish further synergies with other EU FAIR Data initiatives

In the frame of the project's outreach strategy, Prof. Matthias Löebe from the Institut für Medizinische Informatik, Statistik und Epidemiologie (IMISE) presented FAIR4Health last 12th February during the GO FAIR PHT Implementation Network German Chapter. His talk attracted the interest of the participants to the event, following a fruitful meeting between several representatives of FAIR initiatives from Europe, such as FAIR4Health, GO FAIR, FAIRPlus and the Dutch Techcentre for Life Sciences (DTL), among others. During this discussion, there was a consensus on the need to establish furhter synergies beteween all relevant FAIR initiatives in Europe so as to join forces and avoid the duplication of activities. These synergies might focus on setting-up a collaborative framework and alignment of tasks and work related to common objectives, such as the development of a FAIR certification roadmap, which is one of the main objectives of the FAIR4Health project.
